OUR HISTORY
THE TRANSFORMATION
OF DELVA
Delva’s story is one of family, craftsmanship, and pride in doing things the right way.
It began in 1962, when Stephen Voellinger Sr. founded the company in New Jersey. Working out of the original building, he forged a business grounded in precision machining and trust, serving small industrial customers.
Eventually the companies reputation was noticed and they expanded into highly sensitive and demanding work, including inspection gauges, classified components, commercial heavy-machinery parts, and domestic defense programs for customers such as Lockheed Martin.
In 1994, leadership passed to Stephen Voellinger Jr., who purchased the business from his father and carried forward the same values while pushing Delva into its next chapter.
Working side-by-side with Boeing engineers, Delva didn’t just manufacture parts—it helped improve designs and manufacturing efficiency, forging partnerships built on collaboration and mutual respect.
Those relationships have endured and expanded into new frontiers, including space programs such as the Space Launch System.

FORGING FORWARD
In 2020, Delva took another major step forward with the support of private equity investment. This milestone brought access to capital that allowed the company to expand capacity, adopt state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, and integrate advanced robotics, while also strengthening relationships with blue-chip defense customers.
The investment wasn’t about changing who Delva is; it was about ensuring the company could grow, compete, and thrive well into the future.
Today, Delva brings over six decades of experience to every part and assembly it produces. As a trusted supplier to the aerospace and defense industries, Delva delivers precision machined components and light assemblies that meet the most demanding technical and regulatory requirements.
Behind that capability is a dedicated team of engineers, machinists, and programmers who take pride in their work and care deeply about the outcomes they deliver.
Still based in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, Delva continues to evolve; operations now include over 50,000sq/ft across two facilities that continue invest in technology, refine processes, and strengthen quality systems hile also managing client demand.
At it's core, Delva still remains true to the family-driven values, accountability, and craftsmanship that started it all in 1962.
